Friends of the Library
What is a 'Friends of the Library' group?
- It is a group of people voluntarily working together to assist the library by:
- Serving as a means of communication between the community and the library
- Promoting the use of the library by all groups in the community
- Organising community cultural activities in the library
- Giving practical help to library staff
- Arranging fund raising activities / encouraging sources of fundraising
Friends Of Yass Shire Library (F.O.Y.S.L.) supports and promotes the functions, services and resources of our libraries and develops their use as centres for community activities. Yass Shire Library Services incorporates a branch at Yass; a sub-branch at Murrumbateman and a deposit station at Binalong.
The group meets every two months, at the Yass Library. There is a guest speaker at these gatherings.
General Meetings are held every four months i.e. January, May and September.

Friends of Crookwell Shire Library Supporters can assist the library by participating in a range of volunteer activities including book repairs, fundraising, Home Library Service deliveries, re-shelving of library material and children's activities. The group also arranges and hosts excursions, luncheons, guest speakers and discussion groups.
Membership fees are $5 for individuals, $5 for Concessions and $15 for families.
General meetings are held every four months i.e. January, May and September.
