Lending Policy

There is a limit of 30 items per card on loan at any time. However, if someone wishes to borrow all items on a subject, we may ask you, in fairness to other library users, to limit your selection.

Loan periods

3 weeks - books, cassettes, CD's, CD-ROMs, magazines, videos and DVDs.

Renewals

2 renewal periods of 3 weeks each for books, cassettes, CD's, CD-ROMs, magazines and videos.

No renewal for items on hold (reserved); If due date has already passed or if you accumulate unpaid fees of $10.00 or more.

Renewals can be arranged by asking at the desk, phoning the library or via the STRL catalogue.

Please note to access your record via the web you will need your library card number and your P.I.N.

Overdue Items

Overdue fees apply to all items returned late. $1.00 per week per overdue item to a maximum of $5.00 for books, cassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs and magazines.

It is your responsibility to return your loans on time or renew them before (or on) the date due. If you accumulate unpaid fees of $10.00 or more, your borrowing privileges will be suspended until the accrued amount is reduced.

Loss of or damage to Library items:

Members are responsible for the damage or loss of borrowed items. They will be charged the replacement cost of the damaged or lost item.
